DONALD J. TRUMP: THE BEST CRISIS MANAGER SINCE FDR?

Can you ever remember a time when in recent times a U.S. president faced one crisis after another in their first four years?  Nixon faced the Vietnam War, economic recession, and civil arrest, and of course Watergate in eight years.  Reagan rejuvenated the U.S. economy and brought caused the Soviet Union to go on life support in eight years. [Notice that both Nixon and Reagan were Republicans who endured head winds from the mainstream media.]

The election of Donald J. Trump was the shocking surprise to the entire nation.  He like Reagan came to Washington as an outsider cutting against the orthodoxy of the Establishment.  Trump had never held elected office before.  In the first three years of his presidency he had thrown at him more challenges is quick succession like no other modern president:

  • The Deep State spying on the Trump campaign and the set up prosecution of National Security Adviser Gen. Michael Flynn.
  • Defeating ISIS occupation of Syria
  • Appointing two Supreme Court Justices
  • Curbing the volume of illegal immigration and the injunctions imposed by federal judges.
  • Taking on globalism by securing new fair trade treaties with trade partners.
  • Taking on China’s unfair trade practices and stealing intellectual property
  • Dealing with the Muller investigation into alleged collusion with Russia that was proven to be unfounded.
  • An impeachment effort by Democrats over policy differences concerning Ukraine and the withholding of information based on executive privilege
  • The invasion of the COVID-19 virus which lead to the shutdown of the American economy with the loss of 100,000 lives and 30 million out of work in Spring 2020
  • The racial unrest caused by the police officer murder of George Floyd and rioting in over 27 major cities across the United States.

The American economy was booming in January 2020 with historic low unemployment for all Americans.  Then came the virus, which knocked the legs out from under Trump’s biggest achievement–the economy.

As of this time the May 2020 unemployment rate dropped, and 2.5 million jobs were added.  What it remains to be seen if Trump can successfully navigate through the racial acrimony. But what if he does?  He amazed in how he obtained his largest public approval numbers after coming out of his impeachment ordeal.  Trump has experienced a hurricane of opposition from the mainstream media, unlike any president since Abraham Lincoln.

If the current economic trend continuous and the economy starts growing again, this feat alone would make Trump one of the greatest crisis manages among US presidents.  He will have accomplished this feat cutting against the grain of the Washington Establishment of both parties.  More imperatively, the achievement would be obtained after being carpet bombed by the mainstream media incessantly.

The Left never rests.  They are fomenting civil unrest in America’s streets and blaming Trump for the murder of George Floyd–something completely out of Trump’s jurisdiction.

Could it be that Trump is like Samson of the Bible?  Samson was a deeply flawed man but had incredible strength to battle for the freedom of his people over the Philistines.  Samson battled in Philistines and was one-man army in his own right.  There was an episode were Samson’s own countrymen were attempting to sell out Samson to the Philistines.  Samson asked his countrymen not to attack him.  As the Establishment of Samson’s country were about to deliver him, Samson was able to turn the tables and win a victory over the Philistines.  However, Samson’s arrogance caused him to lose his anointing when he disclosed to Delia that the length of his bran was the symbol of his strength.  Delia sheered him, and Samson was brought low.  The story does not have to end that way for Trump, if people of faith will pray.

We need to pray people will recognize that Trump has a special talent for dealing with crisis in the midst of great opposition.  We also need to pray that Trump’s self-destructing tendencies do not fall in on him.  Rather he needs divine support and the support of freedom loving people across this nation.
